Dr. Marie Teworte-Vey

Partner, Certified Specialist in Intellectual Property Law

Marie Teworte-Vey is a founding partner of the firm and was admitted to the bar in 2007. Before joining Teworte-Vey Simon Schumacher & Partner, she worked for CBH Attorneys at Law for more than 11 years. Her practice focuses on trademark and competition law as well as design and copyright law. She advises and represents national and international companies in litigation, trademark application and other official proceedings at both German and EU level. In addition, she is involved in the drafting of coexistence agreements and the review of advertising measures. A further focus of her work is press law.

Marie Teworte-Vey is a former scholarship holder of the Studienstiftung des deutschen Volkes. She is a member of the Intellectual Property Committee of the Cologne Bar Association. She is also a member of the advisory board of the Corporate Law Clinic e.V. of the University of Cologne.

In Kanzleimonitor 2019/2020 she is recommended as an attorney in the field of intellectual property law. In the JUVE Handbook “Commercial Law Firms 2021/2022” she is named as a lawyer often recommended (“excellent trademark lawyer”, “precise and responsive, speaks faster than I can think”, clients).
