Markus Robak is partner of the firm since 1 June 2024. He has been advising and representing his clients for over 20 years, primarily in the legal fields of defamation, copyrights and media law, unfair competition, advertising and trademark law as well as in privacy, IT contracts and e-commerce law. He began his professional career in 2003 in the IP department of the international law firm Linklaters in Cologne. After working as in-house counsel with the international media company Axel Springer and with the public radio broadcaster Deutschlandradio, he joined the Cologne IP boutique Jonas in 2009, where he was most recently co-managing director and partner. Markus Robak is the author of numerous legal publications on media and IP law. Furthermore, he is “often recommended” according to the leading German legal market observer JUVE (JUVE Handbook 2023/24) and is ranked among the best lawyers in the field of intellectual property law in Germany by Handelsblatt (Handelsblatt Special June 2023).
